Emory's recent Guestbook post, regarding his insight into the nature of discipline, shows the limitation of reasonable argument: we are not persuaded until we have experienced / tasted / seen something for ourselves. If reasonable debate provides a context for experiencing & tasting something directly for ourself, fine. I read earnest discussions on the Guestbook (only one source) which wouldn't be happening if the poster had seen this for themselves, directly and immediately. Like, why argue about what is the nature of a "Good Fairy"? The question is, how may I stand face to face with Music (alternatively, "the benevolence of the creative impulse?") Then, this becomes a practical matter, beginning with the question: "Do I wish this for myself?"

On AMC at the moment: "Lloyd's Of London" starring Tyrone Power. A 2001 remake of this, based on the 1980 & 1990s, would be an interesting epic.
A good day's work with movement forward on "eleKctriKc".
